pcWRT firmware v2.6.4 Release Notes

  This is mainly a bugfix release, it supersedes v2.6.2. I.e., after you upgrade to v2.6.4, if you rollback, you’ll rollback to v2.5.8.

  Changes included in this update:

  • UI bugfix for WiFi MAC address filtering
  • Enhancement: do not override VLAN ip address and netmask updated by user
  • Access Control: improve DNS over HTTPS bypass handling
  • Remove duplicate firewall rules created by system upgrade

  Upgrade steps:

  1. Have your configuration backup ready. Create a backup file for your current configuration, if you don’t have one.
  2. Click the “Check for Updates” button in the System Settings page. Follow the instructions to upgrade.
  3. After successful upgrade, create a new router settings backup file from the System Settings page and save it in a safe place
