Something changed with my company VPN so that it will no longer connect using OpenDNS like it has for years. However, if I plug it directly into my ISP’s device, which uses Google DNS, it works as expected. No problem, I thought, I have pcWRT so I can create a profile to bypass the router level OpenDNS to use Google DNS. My laptop gets an IP address from pcWRT as expected, but it will not use Google DNS, even if I set the router DNS to be GoogleDNS and the rest of the profiles using OpenDNS.

You can create two profiles, one using OpenDNS, the other using Google. Put your work computer in the second profile.
