I have the AX1800 for home use. I can assign X1, X2, OR X3 to any of the ethernet ports for home use. Same goes for WIFI. All works with the AX1800.

I’m trying to use my old Newfi D2 for my small office at work. Trying to assign X1, X2, OR X3 to any of the ports does nothing. You can select port 1 and assign IT to X1. It still spits out an 192… ip address. It does this for all the ports. It use to give a 10… ip address. It does on my AX1800. I have no idea when it stopped working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I forgot to add that setting up vlans on the wifi for the Newfi router works fine. Just the ethernet portion does not.

What’s your firmware version on the Newifi? You might want to reset the router and start from fresh to see if it works.

Thanks for the reply. The firmware is 2.7.6. I have tried to reset the router from scratch. I should have mentioned that earlier. It still doesn’t work. I’m at a loss. I know it use to work fine before I got the AX1800. But I can’t remember which firmware I was on.

I even fired up my old Toronto AC router tonight with 2.7.6 firmware. All works as it should. It’s just the Newifi for some reason.I’m stumped.

    Thanks for your help!

I can’t explain that. Maybe you can send a copy of the Newifi backup file to [email protected] so that we can take a look?

I sent a copy of the back up file to you. Let me know if you get it.

    Thanks for the help.
