    Hello,

I had Access Control enabled when I first configured my new pcWRT router last month, but I began having issues with some cloud (browser-based) applications I use for work. I discovered that the browser was not loading pages as it deemed the pcWRT certificate to be invalid. I tried multiple browsers to no avail. Diabling Access Control is a work-around, but I’d like to re-enable AC at some point. Any ideas as to why the router certificate is determined to be invalid by browsers and how can I fix that?

    Thanks in advance.

    /Ed

Perhaps some domains needed by your applications are blocked. Check the Internet logs for blocked domains and white list those needed by your application.

What’s happening here is that the certificate is self-signed so browsers will not forward users to the pcwrt page with the custom messages declaring the site to be off limits. This can cause confusion for users who are afraid to click on the “trust certificate” message. In a home setting not such a big issue, and it would be nice if a homeowner could install pcwrt root certificates and “trust” them on each of the families devices ahead of time.

I tried to make this post previously with dropbox links to screenshots of the messages that appear and it looks like the post was blocked.
