No LAN light showing on router when ethernet wired to computer. (WAN light on, indicating connection to modem.) Should LAN light be lit? Trying to set up. Worked briefly, now not.

What’s your hardware model and firmware version?

PWAX1800. with Motorola modem and macbook. Can not advise on firmware as address that came with router now inaccessible – when connected, macbook self assigns IP. When otherwise connected, that address times out. However, have not updated firmware since receipt.

Please take a picture of your Ethernet connections and send it to [email protected]. Indicate which wire is connected to modem and which wire is connected to computer.
