    Hello,
The KillSwitch VPN feature has been rock solid for me since I bought the pcwrt router. However, this AM the power to our home “blipped” for approx 1 second due to windy weather. I didn’t think much of it until I randomly checked my public-facing IP address that evening. I was surprised to see my IP address was reported as my ISP assigned IP address and not my VPN IP address.
On the pcwrt router, I have “always-on” VPN and the status light was green for my WireGuard settings – yet my ISP address was shown. I’m certain the VPN was working as expected before the power blip.
Does the router not have some type of link monitoring for VPN to compare if the VPN is down? The VPN was down for at least 8 hours and I was able to use the Internet, etc.
    Thanks!

Did the router restart because of the “blip”? Did you mean that the VPN connection was green for 8 hours but your devices were connecting outside of the tunnel for 8 hours? Is proper VPN behavior restored now?

    Hello Support,
I don’t know if the router restarted when the power blipped. At the time I never thought to look. After work (8 hours), I performed a “What’s my IP address” check and the result was outside the VPN tunnel. I then looked at my WireGuard configuration on the router and it was supposedly active and “green led”. I stop/started the WireGuard tunnel and performed a “What’s my IP address” check and the result was now inside the VPN tunnel.
I know my VPN tunnel was active the night before, then after the early morning power blip it was not, and seemingly for the 8 hours I was at work.
Note: I have since updated the firmware from 2.7.6 to 2.7.8.
    Thanks!
