Today 2026-01-31 I upgraded my firmware 2.7.6 to 2.8.6 on my pcWRT PW-AX1800.
I can not login to the router, it comes with the page http://10.159.158.1/cgi-bin/pcwrt/anon but neverthless it says that it runs 2.8.6. This page has two “buttons” and tells me my ip is 10.159.158.220
My computer had always permanant DHCP 192.168.10.220.
I can connect to internet. Other computers, swiches and access points on my network are not reacheable.

I do not have the firmware image 2.7.6, and even if I had it, I can do nothing as I have no user interface to the router.
    $ssh 10.159.158.1 gives “connection refused”

So what to do now ?

Your computer connected to a different VLAN, i.e., no longer on “LAN”. That’s why you’re getting an IP address like 10.159.158.220. By default, devices on these other VLANs do not have the permission to log in the router.

Connect your device to an SSID on “LAN” or connect it with a cable to a port assigned to “LAN”.
