So on the iPhone you were able to reach internetbadguys.com, but on Windows it’s blocked? Can you check the Internet logs and see what’s being accessed or blocked for the iPhone and for Windows?

Maybe you can add another WireGuard connection? If the current one no longer works, you can delete it.

VLAN configuration is in the /etc/config/network file.

Sorry, there’s a bug in the VLAN display for the XR10. When you configure the ports LAN-X1-LAN, the page displays LAN-Guest-LAN. But actually port 2 is assigned to X1, despite Guest being displayed.

If you connect a device to port 2, on the Status page you’ll see that it is connected to the X1 VLAN.

The bug will be fixed in the next update.

You’re trying to manage the router from the cloud (i.e., remote control the router). This is not enabled by default. Before it’s enabled, our website can’t find your router.

If you wish to use this feature, you need to enable cloud management from the router’s local interface first. You can access the router’s local interface with URL http://192.168.10.1. After logging in, go to the Cloud Settings page to enable it.

@trust_in_wrt Usually the invalid entry will go away in a few minutes. Are you still seeing it?

@sbeisner1 Thanks for the update. Glad it worked out at the end. It’s probably a one-time glitch. We’ll keep an eye on it.

@rpow You should be able to connect to the router WiFi even without connecting the router to your modem. Did you see the pcwrt-5g SSID on your computer? Connect your computer to the pcwrt-5g SSID and load http://192.168.10.1 in your browser.

@rpow There are no minimum speed requirements to connect the router. The maximum WAN speed (Internet side) it can handle is 1Gbps.

You need to set up remote control on the local interface before you can manage the router remotely on the website. Please refer to: https://www.pcwrt.com/forums/topic/how-to-remote-control-the-pcwrt-router/

In the Internet Settings page, protocol should be DHCP, not PPPoE, i.e., no need to enter Xfinity username/password. Please try:

    1. On the System Settings page, click “Sync Time with Browser”.
    2. On the Internet Settings page, select “DHCP client” for protocol.
    2. Wipe out “Override MAC address”. This will restore the MAC address to the default.
    3. Click the Save button at the bottom of the Internet Settings page.

Wait for 5 minutes and check the Status page again.

If the Internet status is still down and you want to try overriding the MAC address, take the MAC address of the computer you connected to the modem previously and put it in the “Override MAC address” box.

    1. Is the Ethernet cable connected to the WAN port? I.e., the port next to the RESET/WPS button.
    2. When you connect your computer directly to the modem, do you need to enter your Xfinity username/password?

@BoorishBird When you turn on Safe Search, the router will force safe search on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo and Yandex. Other search engines, which can’t force safe search at the network level, are blocked. The next firmware update will allow you to white list the search engines that are implicitly blocked.

For the block/allow lists, the entries are separated by a new line. More info here: https://www.pcwrt.com/2020/01/how-to-allow-or-block-web-sites-on-the-router/
