The XR11 is newer but less powerful than the XR10. Both are rated AX1800 for WiFi but the XR10 is faster.

Routers on our website are fully featured. The Premium upgrade is for people who bought hardware elsewhere.

It should be available. The XR11 is out of stock.

Yes you can flash it yourself if you get the right model, but the XR10 should be available on our website.

You might be using proxy settings in your browser. We’re looking into this and will get back with you. Thanks!

We now have the CF-XR10 available, which is an AX1800 WiFi 6 router with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU.

We’ve tested the router UI with both Safari and Firefox and didn’t see any problems. Is it possible for you to try it from a device other than macOS 13.1?

Also, was the timezone dropdown populated when you ran the initial setup?

Are there any plugins/addons running in your browser?

You need an Internet connection in order to upgrade from Lite. The Upgrade button will display once the router is connected to the Internet.

The router needs a wired Internet connection. So you can’t use it as a VPN client from a hotel. We will have a travel VPN router offering in a couple of months, which will allow you to connect to a hotel WiFi.

You can take a look at the access logs to see what domains are being blocked and for what reason. Click the “View Logs” link on the “Access Control” page. On the left side of the “Internet Logs” page, click on the device you want to check. Click on the “Raw/Chart” toggle button to switch to raw mode.

Thanks for asking! We’ve been saying “a couple of weeks” but it didn’t happen. We’re confident about Q1 23, but we hope it’ll be sooner than that.

Maybe your devices are connecting to a VLAN other than LAN, i.e., Guest, X1 etc. If Guest, X1 etc. don’t have access to LAN, then devices connected to them do not have access to the router management page.

Another way you can restrict access to the router management page is by checking “Restrict router access” on the System Settings page.

In the simplest setup, you just pick the DNS service from the dropdown box in the profile. You’ll receive pre-defined blocking categories from the service provider.

If you need more control, then you need to set up an account with the DNS service. For example, if you want to use OpenDNS Home instead of the pre-packaged OpenDNS Family Shield, here’s how to set it up on the router: https://www.pcwrt.com/forums/topic/how-to-set-up-opendns/.

Same goes with CleanBrowsing. If the pre-defined filtering works for you, then just pick it from the DNS services dropdown. If you need more control, then set up an account with CleanBrowsing.

In addition, you can enter your local black and white lists, which will override the DNS blocks. And you can enter time controls for specific domains for specific users. The router is designed such that you can start with almost no configuration and with the flexibility to customize your controls as much as you want.

In general, each of the DNS filtering services has pros and cons, you’ll need to pick the ones that fit your needs. They all have pretty comprehensive databases. Here’s a data point FYI: https://www.pcwrt.com/forums/topic/dns-porn-filters-compared/.

Would it work if you block youtube.com but allow youtubekids.com? It looks like that you can also hide YouTube directly on the iPad by blocking apps rated 12+: https://www.lifewire.com/block-youtube-on-ipad-5443103.
