It’s coming soon! We’re testing it now.

Additional Note: The VLAN ID for the LAN network has been changed to 10 for this release. It was 1 before this release, and it was causing compatibility issues since VLAN ID 1 is reserved in some systems.

Thermostats and cameras don’t print, so putting the printer in the same IOT VLAN with client isolation won’t hurt them. You want to be able to print from devices connected to LAN and other VLANs such as Guest. Just check the appropriate boxes on the Network Settings page. For example, check all of the boxes corresponding to the IOT VLAN column under the VLAN section. This way, devices connected to VLANs other than the IOT VLAN will be able to initiate communication with devices on the IOT VLAN. But devices on the IOT VLAN can’t initiate communication with other devices, nor can they talk to each other.

You may want to enable mDNS to help your computers find the printer.

@silviu_25 That was for an older model with a less powerful CPU. The AX1800 has a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and Access Control does not slow it down.

Without WG, the max speed is 1000Mbps, with WG the max is 500Mbps. Enforce Access Control does not slow down the speed. Logs are kept in memory with a fixed size. You can look back up to 24 hours, but if there are a lot of Internet activities, it may not have enough memory to keep the full 24 hours.

Try mapping the shared drive with the path: \\192.168.1.x\shared_folder.

Let’s start with VPN off then.
    1. Can you ping the 192.168.1.x IP address of the PC with the shared folder?
    2. Can you access the Internet from the same PC?

We’ll see how much effort it takes to support this and will post back here. Can the Flint 2 image be built from their github repository?

Can you check the port number on the router side? Port 1 is the leftmost port, labeled LAN3 on the box.

You can get to the web ui via a 192.168.1.x IP address but can’t ping the same IP address?

As a test, you can disable the VPN on the router first and see if you can get to the shared folder. You don’t have to shutdown the VPN connection, just uncheck the checkbox under the “Enable for Network” section and Save. If that works, try with the VPN on.

Thanks for the additional info. With this setup, your PC connected to the old router is on the WAN side of the pcWRT router, while the PC connected to the pcWRT router is on the LAN side. With Pia running on the pcWRT, the PC connected to the LAN side is tunneled to Pia’s VPN server. Therefore, it cannot see the local network on your old router.

You can add this entry to the “Split Tunneling” section on the VPN client settings page: 192.168.1.0/24

And yes, if you set a VPN connection to auto-start, the VPN will auto-connect on router reboot.

    Please check two things:
    1. On your PC connected to the pcWRT router, is the IP address in the 192.168.2.x range?
    2. When you log in to the pcWRT router, on the Status page, is the displayed Internet IP in the 192.168.1.x range?

So Pia is running on the pcWRT router? And the pcWRT WAN is connected to a LAN port on your existing router?
