Got it! Used my phone to connect. I didn’t realize I had to switch my wifi from my existing wifi network to pcwrt (which was showing as an option for available wifi, but not connected to the internet). After the fact, the setup did say “you’ll see an open wifi network with SSID ‘pcwrt'” NOW, it all makes sense to me. Sorry, not to technically savvy anymore nor up on the network terms.
