My son has a chromebook he brings home from school. He has been caught watching Youtube when he should be doing homework. So I simply blocked youtube.com for his profile. However, after we did that, he could no longer log into his chromebook. He would get a message saying that his email or password could not be verified. When I looked in the logs I noticed that googleapis.com had been blocked. I do not have googleapis.com in the list of blocked sites. In fact, the only site in that list is youtube.com. Once I removed the blocked site from the list, he could log on. I am stumped and have no idea where to go next.

Yes, googleapis.com is also blocked when you block YouTube. But you can enter www.googleapis.com in the white list to bypass the block.
