I have had pcwrt, but recently bought orbi with one satellite to get better wifi through house. Can I still use pcwrt for parental controls while using orbi to extend wifi?

    You can try this configuration:

    1. Connect your devices like this: Modem -> pcWRT -> Orbi. I.e., connect Modem to pcWRT WAN port, then connect from a pcWRT LAN port to Orbi WAN port.
    2. Configure the Orbi as an Access Point (AP).
    3. Turn off WiFi on the pcWRT.

You’ll use WiFi from the Orbi only and your devices will appear as wired connections to the pcWRT.

You can configure the Netgear Orbi as an Access Point by connecting all devices with each other after login to the orbi login webpage.
