Just a couple of feature suggestions.

Logging would be the most beneficial. Even if it’s just real-time logging so I can troubleshoot which connections are being blocked and why. I would be happy to ssh into the router and tail a log file. Just some way to see what’s going on.

The ability to sort the various lists throughout the UI would be nice. I have a lot of named clients and use a naming convention. If I could order them by name it would be very helpful. I can’t figure out what order they are in right now.

Some services, such as Xbox Live, use an IP block. I would like to add 65.55.42.0 instead of 254 individual IP addresses.

A VPN endpoint would be great. OpenVPN would be great, but I would be glad to use whichever method you guys want to add.

If I enable “Block literal IP addresses”, could I whitelist specific IPs? That way I could allow known apps that use known IPs without sacrificing the feature.

Thank you guys for all the work you have done. I really like the product and appreciate the great customer service.

Great suggestions. We should be able to accommodate these in upcoming releases.

BTW, the hosts in the Network and Parental Control screens are ordered alphabetically by the host name. Are your lists ordered differently?

Those lists seem to be in a random order. Sorting those lists and the Status screen would very helpful. The firmware check says I have the latest: Archer-C7-v2 v1.21.5.

Thanks for your input. We should be able to fix this with the next update coming up in a few days.

@CaptainDad These are available in version v1.22.2, released yesterday and today:

    1. Sorting the lists alphabetically in the UI
    2. White list IP addresses. Even if you block literal IP addresses, if an IP address is listed in the white list, it is allowed.
    3. White list IP address blocks by using the CIDR notation. For example, to white list all 255 Xbox IP addresses, use 65.55.42.0/24.

These will be delivered in future updates (in order of priority):

    1. Reporting (or logging) of visited and denied web sites/IP addresses.
    2. VPN endpoint.

    Hello–

Just wondering if OpenVPN is on the way, and if so, when we might expect it?

Thank you – I really appreciate your product.

In the login page, near “My IP Address” and “Adblock Control” put the Reboot button.

In this way we can reboot the router without entering it.

@casino This would be a security issue. We can’t let an unauthenticated user rebooting the router.
