There are three steps to set up a wifi connection with the printer.

    1. If you have previously configured the wireless settings of the printer, you must reset the network LAN settings before you can configure the wireless settings again. Use Menu, Δ or ∇ to choose Network, Factory Reset, and choose
Yes to accept the change. For Touchscreen models, press MENU, Network, Δ or ∇ to display Factory Reset then press Factory Reset, and choose Yes to accept the change. The printer will restart automatically.
    2. Connect to the wifi.
      • Press Menu
      • Press Δ or ∇ to choose Network.
      • Press Δ or ∇ to choose WLAN.
      • Press Δ or ∇ to choose Setup Wizard. Press OK.
      • The printer will search for your network and display a list of available SSIDs. Use Δ or ∇ to choose the pcWRT SSID. Then press OK.
      • Use Δ or ∇ to choose the authentication method, and press OK. You should choose WPA/WPA2-PSK.
      • Choose the Encryption type, TKIP or AES using Δ or ∇. Press OK. The encryption type should match what that of the pcWRT router.
      • Enter the password and press OK. To apply the settings, choose Yes.
      • The machine starts to connect to the pcWRT router. If connection is successful, the display shows Connected for 60 seconds and configuration is completed. If the connection failed, the display shows Connection Failed for 60 seconds.
    3. Setup TCP/IP
      • Press Menu, then press Δ or ∇ to choose Network.
      • Use Δ or ∇ to choose WLAN.
      • Use Δ or ∇ to choose TCP/IP. Press OK.
      • Press Δ or ∇ to choose BOOT Method. Press OK.
      • Press left or right triangle to choose DHCP. Press OK
      • Press Stop/Exit.
      • Check the printer IP address: press Menu, then use Δ or ∇ to navigate to Network, WLAN, TCP/IP, then IP Address. Make sure that the IP address is compatible with the pcWRT wifi network. By default, this should be 192.168.10.xxx.
      • Log in the pcWRT console, click Status. You should be able to see the printer in connected devices. If the printer hostname is displayed in gray, click the hostname, enter a new name if you wish, then click Save.
