'Restrict router access' does not allow me to add device

Under System -> Settings, the RHS of the page has ‘Restrict router access’ checkbox.
When I check it, I see the search icon – on clicking the search icon, I get a dialog box:
“There are no available devices/users to add. You can add a device to the list only if the device has been named and not already in the list.”

So I cannot select my PC, though the PC shows up under Status -> Connected Devices

Why is my PC not showing so I can select it.

On the Status page, click on the name of your PC. A popup box will be displayed for you to enter a name for the PC. Enter the name and click Save.

After that, your PC will be displayed in the “Restrict router access” dialog.
