I just purchased a PW-AX1800 device and the Access Control app did not appear initially. I checked for updates (already up to date) and rebooted and eventually it appeared (and so did Bandwidth monitor app which I did not know about yet). I signed up for an account on the web site wondering if this feature needs to be opted into or something so I am not sure why it was not there and if this account corrected.

    1. Why does the app not appear at first?
    2. Why does it not appear to work? I used speedtest.net as a test since it was in the video and it is just littered with ads. I saw another post that said https was not supported which cannot be right as https as been the default protocol (in browsers atleast) for quite some time. In fact many web sites will not allow you to use http at all (speedtest.net does not allow it to be used). I used Quad9 as the DNS filter rather than the default one.

    1. Some icons are hidden until an Internet connection is detected.
    2. You need to check the box “Enable Ad Block” for your profile on the Access Control page. The ad block control page requires HTTP, i.e., when you need to pause ad blocking.
