I am trying to setup this router for the first time. It was purchased last August and never setup. When I attempt to go to the router site 192.168.10.1, it just says it can not load and it never loads. I am connected to the internet just fine. Please help.

Can you let us know how the router is connected? I.e., how is it connected to the Internet, and how your PC is connected to the router. Did you connect the PC by wire or WiFi?

I am having the same issue. Did you ever get the site to pull up?

I have connected the pcwrt router to my modem. Yellow ethernet cord is pulled into #1 etnernet slot on modem then connect to WAN on router. I can get on to the internet wirelessly from my modem but I can not access http://pcwrt or http://192.168.10.1. Message says site can not be reached. I have tried from my phone, different computers, and tried different web browsers still same error message. What could be the problem?

Please take a picture of the router showing the LED lights, and a picture of the back of the router showing the Ethernet connections. Send them to [email protected].

Also, please let us know what kind of device you are using to load http://192.168.10.1, so that we can give you specific instructions.

Got it! Used my phone to connect. I didn’t realize I had to switch my wifi from my existing wifi network to pcwrt (which was showing as an option for available wifi, but not connected to the internet). After the fact, the setup did say “you’ll see an open wifi network with SSID ‘pcwrt'” NOW, it all makes sense to me. Sorry, not to technically savvy anymore nor up on the network terms. Thanks for the assistance and quick response! 🙂 Be Blessed!

@venfam Great to hear it worked out for you!

Please also note that parental control works only when devices are connected to the pcWRT. There’s no filtering when kids are connected to your existing router.

It’s preferable to turn off the WiFi on your existing router to make it easier. Sometimes two WiFi signals cause RF interference with each other, and may degrade WiFi performance. If you do need two WiFi signals, make sure the channels don’t overlap (i.e., at least two channels apart).
