It’s hard to say what’s going on here. Can you try a different device? If not, try a different Ethernet port or cable.

Yes, when you create multiple SSIDs they share the same channel. In fact they share the same radio signal. There’s no interference in this case, just the same radio signal is shared among different SSIDs. Even when you have only one SSID, your client devices have to share the same radio signal from the router.

The default is to bind to port 0, which means it will bind to a dynamic port. You may choose to bind to a specific port when the pcWRT router is behind another router and you need to set up port forwarding on the other router. BTW, it’s a UDP port.

When you lose connectivity, the computer tries to reconnect immediately and regains connectivity after a few seconds?

DNS lease time should not matter. It’s always been 12 hours and you didn’t have any problems before.

    1. How often does this happen? Does it happen on a regular interval, e.g., every 12 hours?
    2. Does it happen to other devices or only the Linux computer?
    3. Does it happen to devices connected via WiFi?

If you have a more restrictive policy on the Anonymous profile than other profiles, it will discourage the user from altering their MAC address.

The speed you see is the best WiFi speed you can get on the Archer A7. If available, the Linksys ACS1900 will have better WiFi performance (and overall performance). If you bought a stock COMFAST CF-XR10, it probably won’t work. The stock COMFAST firmware won’t take our upgrade image.

You need to click the Save button at the bottom of the page after you remove the static IP address entry.

To your previous post, yes MAC address can be changed. Sometimes you can change it to anything you want. It seemed that your grand daughter’s iPad was taking the MAC address that belonged to April_TV. You can check the actual MAC address used under a WiFi connection when a “private Wi-Fi addresses” is used.

To deal with the situation where a random MAC address may be used for a device, you can put the most restrictive policies on the Anonymous profile. Thus if a user wants to have less restricted access to the Internet, they’ll want to to use the native MAC address on the device.

Currently only LAN IP can be entered on the UI. IP addresses for other VLANs are calculated based on the LAN IP and cannot be changed. Is there a specific reason that you need to change the guest IP address?

Did you check the IP address on your granddaughters phone and that IP address is not listed under Connected Devices?

After you login, on the Status page, you’ll see a list of connected devices. Click on the hostname to give the device a name. After that, the device will appear in the list when you click on the magnifying glass.

Can you see the iPad that was originally reported missing?

Let’s get the devices identified first.

After you connect a device to the router, start a browser on the device and open the router admin page. Usually this is http://192.168.10.1, but if you’ve changed the LAN IP address, adjust the IP address accordingly.

You’ll see the login page. Click on the link “My local IP address” – you’ll see the device’s IP address.

On the computer you use to manage the router, login the router admin site. Check the list of connected devices. Do you see the above IP address in the list?
