This happens to my router on a regular basis…. changing password… rebooting router doesnt get rid of the problem.. dont know why. but I’ve just given up and living with it… I just check the settings on a regular basis and block on my main router if this feature fails on the pcwrt..

The feature to temporarily extend calendar time by pressing the Plus button to allow for 15 min intervals is glitchy. I will auto save for the first 15 min successfully, but when pressing multiple times it times out and throws error “failed to retrieve data”. This feature would be much more useful and actually get used if I could either type the amount of min I would like to extend calendar or have a drop down box that would have 15, 30, 45, 60, etc min for me to pick from. Clicking the plus button to add 15 min several times is not working for me. Most times, I want to give the kids 1 to 2 hours…

other option is to not have it auto save until I get to the amount of min i want by clicking the plus button multiple times… then when I get to desired amount, I then click save. This is probably easier, but not as sleek as a drop down with time options or a free cell to add time.

Ok.. i see the pause button for each individual profile, which is cool and defiantly like it!!!, but is there a button I am not seeing which allows temp access? Say I have my kid’s internet scheduled to be off from 9am to 5pm, but I want to give him temp access for 30 min without having to revamp my calendars and want it to automatically go back to the schedule once the 30 min (or 60, etc) is up…. is there a button for that?

My current work around for this is adding him to an unrestricted (only FamDNS filter enabled) profile then manually adding him back to his profile after 30 min..but that is a PIA..

Hi… did as you suggested.. disabled remote control and changed password… it’s not disabling by it’s self any longer.. My 12 year old must of found a way to disable it from his computer from the internet, i guess… now can only manage via LAN.. getting to it via the ip…. any ideas how he is disabling, beside him finding out the password? or is him having the password the only way he could be disabling it?

You guys arent doing anything on your end? After I posted this happening again and you replied.. It now is fine… I tried all the tests before I posted.. I would enable/save, log out then log back in 5-10 min and the setting would be off again.. also even within the same session.. I’d enable then save, then move to status, then back to parent control it would sometime still be enabled and sometimes not..

After I posted and you replied.. its not happening any more… very odd if you guys arent doing anything on your end..

It’s happening again! .. been fine for a month or so.. now parent controls are turning off by its self again..

Back from vacation.. checking again.. Parent control disabled again. Any other suggestions?

I reset it to factory settings. Seems to have done the trick. Has kept it enabled for a few hours now. wont know for sure till tested overnight..

Nope that didn’t work. hour later.. I log back in and its disabled again..
