Hmm, that did not change anything. Any other suggestions for testing/analysis?

Thanks for clarifying! Yea auto-check for both bands would make sense, like that.

ok so it seems having Client isolation checked on say x1 2.4ghz but not checked on x1 5ghz (with a different SSID) still isolates the devices connected to the 5ghz network?
is this normal? this is occurring for me.

    Thanks

Ok! Just to confirm, with network isolation unchecked and the following setup the devices would be able to communicate.

    x1 2.4 network SSID “bob1”
    x1 5gz network SSID “tom2”
    LAN port 1 VLAN x1

with network isolation checked in the above scenario devices would not be able to communicate with each other even if on the LAN port?

Is there any different with the guest network vs the x networks, or is it just named guest?

I’ll try wired speed and other router this weekend and report back.

Will send over now. I was able to fix the issue by naming the faulty SSIDs the same name on the same band (both X1) restarting and then changing them again individually.

I also have experienced similar instability. After upgrading to the Newifi hardware the stability seemed a bit better but the lag and pauses for websites and streaming are still present (not present with a different router). I’ve also tried all different settings with no real difference and oddly it is inconsistent, sometimes there is no lag sometimes the lag is bad to where things do not load at all.

Thank you for the thorough explanation!

One last clarification, DNS server settings on the Internet settings page override the DNS settings in Access Control?
