You mean http://192.168.10.1? Are you connected to the pcWRT router (you can either connect by wire or by WiFi)? If you are connected, then check the IP address on your computer, it should be something like 192.168.10.x.

Was GCP working before the upgrade? Do you remember the version number before you upgraded?

You may want to set up a dedicated profile for the HP Laserjet, and turn off parental control for that profile. Please let us know if that solves the problem.

What you described sounds like a WiFi connection problem. Which band are you using? The 5GHz band has higher peak throughput but it doesn’t have as much range as the 2.4GHz band. So you may want to switch to the 2.4GHz band if you are connecting from longer distance. Also, you might want to check the channel used for WiFi, sometimes that has a big impact on performance. Please checkout our blog entry: http://www.pcwrt.com/2017/10/how-to-avoid-bad-wifi-connection-by-changing-the-channel-on-your-router/. Also, sometimes disconnecting and reconnecting the WiFi helps resolve the problem.

The pcWRT router does not function as a WiFi repeater. But you can connect other WiFi repeaters or wired APs to it. You can also use it as an AP if you have wired connection between the pcWRT and the other router (however, parental control does not work if you do this).

If you have specific requirements, we can see if that’s achievable.

If your AP is connected by wire, devices connected through the AP will be reported as Wired. Because the router does not know how the device is connected to the AP.

If your AP is a WiFi extender, then devices connected through the AP will be reported as wireless, even for devices wired to the AP.

Since there is no way to communicate the nature of the connection between the router and the AP, the router cannot report on how a device is connected to the AP. Nonetheless, parental control works the same for wired and wireless connections.

@John Backup files are not compatible between the TORONTO-AC and the TORONTO-N. You need to factory reset the router and manually recreate the configurations.

Are you still having trouble with this? Please note that the time slots in calendars are allowed times, not blocked times.

Another thing you might want to check is the router timezone and time. Router time is synchronized with time servers with NTP, so it’s normally current. But if the router is behind another router, and the other router blocks UDP port 123, the route might not be able to sync up with an NTP server. You’ll need to open up UDP port 123 on the other router. As a workaround, you can sync the router time manually with your browser in the System Settings page.

You may want to start with a single calendar with no domain names listed, before trying more complex scenarios.

Locally hosted web server is currently blocked by parental control, when you try to connect to the server via its public IP address. The workaround for now is to add a hosts entry in the System Settings page, mapping the locally hosted web server to the LAN IP address instead of the WAN IP address.

We’ll put in a fix in the next update to allow access without a hosts entry.

Is Spotify currently blocked? If so, you can look at the logs page in raw format for the Android device and see what’s blocked for what reason. Then unblock those.
