@bigbluesky5151 Are you running any plugins with the browsers?

Since Bluesound uses Apple Bonjour, in theory it should work with the router with mDNS enabled. Please wait for our next firmware update and give it another try then.

VLAN tagging is used when the router is connected to an Access Point or another router that sends and receives packets tagged with VLAN ids. It won’t help in this scenario (actually might break communication between the router and your device).

Maybe your music software uses broadcasting to find the music players. If that’s the case, it only works when both are on the same subnet (VLAN).

For the printer, if you manually set up printing devices using the printer’s IP address, it can reside on a different VLAN.

BTW, what’s your music streaming software?

You can try to ping the music player, printer etc from your PC. Suppose the IP address for the printer is 10.159.158.12, can you ping the IP address from a computer connected to the LAN?

If you can successfully ping the devices, then the connectivity from LAN to the devices is good. The next question is how your software discovers the devices. You may want to enable mDNS on the Network Settings page to see if that helps.

The router should display all connected devices no matter which VLAN they are connected to. Are you sure the IoT devices are successfully connected to the router?

Do you mean, when an IoT device is connected to the LAN, it is displayed in the “Connected Devices” list, but when the same device is connected to the Guest or X1 VLAN it is no longer listed under “Connected Devices”?

In both places, “Master” means that the router is the owner of the WiFi SSID. I.e., the devices are connected to the SSID provided by the router.

If the router is acting as a WiFi client, i.e., it connects to an SSID by another router, then the connection will be displayed as “Client”. But this scenario never happens to the pcWRT router. The pcWRT router always acts as a “Master”.

The router never auto-updates without your attention. “Auto update” is probably more properly called “One-click” update. I.e., you’ll need to click the “Check for updates” button to initiate the update.

What do you mean by “battle.net doesnt work”? You can’t reach the website?

The WireGuard server no longer runs after you disabled it. You should not see any response from the server side (there’s no longer a server).

The traffic you saw on your Windows machine was probably background traffic by the OS. E.g., software updates or Windows telemetry. You normally don’t see these, but with the WG VPN connection established they became more apparent.

    1. Yes, port forwarding will send traffic only to the destination IP address.
    2. Yes.
    3. Yes.
    4. There’s no need to tag the ports
    5. Yes, it’s reasonable.

Only devices with IP addresses are listed. Your switch was not listed because it didn’t have an IP address.

VLAN tagging for LAN ports has been added in v2.5.2. WAN side VLAN tagging will be added in the next update.

Anything changed for your browser since your last update to v2.4.8? Can you try a different browser?

Did you get the message when you click on “Check for Updates” or when you click the “Upgrade” button after that? What’s your hardware model?
