How to reset router password by email

When you lose your router password, you can no longer log in to the router admin interface. The usual way to regain access to the router is to reset the router to factory defaults. However, that also means that you lose all of your configurations and have to reconfigure the router from the very beginning.

The pcWRT router provides a more convenient way to reset your router password: by email. This is what you need to do:

1. Log in the router admin console.
2. Go to the System Settings page (click the Settings link on the top of the page, then click the System icon).
3. Under the Notifications section, check the box “Allow router password reset on login page”.
4. Enter your email address.
5. Click Save.

You’ll see a “Lost your password?” link on the login page after that, and you’ll be able to reset the router password with your email by clicking on the link.
